I was able to get around the problem by putting local moved aside as local.off
(sudo mv local local.off)
The update process did not freeze any more; however, I have the following
dependency problem at the end of 'fink update-all'
Failed: Fink::SysState: Could not resolve inconsistent dependencies
Any suggestion?
