It's going to get fixed in Fink at some point; I may have time to look

If you want to try something yourself, though, if you're using
Hanspeter's update, then edit that squid-unified.info and add the
following to the end of the PatchScript block (before the last '<<'):
perl -pi -e 's(.*getconf\$\{buildmodel.*)|\1//|g' configure.ac
