The “it” is referring to the installation of fink, as shown in this error log: "Checking package…looks good (fink-0.36.1). Checking system... i386-apple-darwin13.0.0 Under Mac OS X 10.9.1, Fink must be bootstrapped or updated with gcc 4.2, however, you currently have gcc (unknown version) selected. Make sure that your developer tools are current for your system and have not been locally modified."
