l'arborescence 10.4-transitional à partir de la distribution 0.8.0 peuvent
mettre à jour Fink de deux manières différentes. Le processus de mise à jour
n'est pas simple en raison des changements dans l'ABI des librairies g++; cela
implique de recompiler de nombreuses librairies. La plupart des utilisateurs
préfèreront sans supprimer leur installation de fink et repartir de zéro à
partir de l'installeur 0.8.1. D'autres préfèreront utiliser le nouveau paquet
de mise à jour pour 10.4 (v. 0.2) (environ 12 Mo), qui inclut des versions
précompilées des paquets de base de fink ainsi qu'un script qui tentera de
mettre à jour l'installation de fink en place.
