Since it seems like Apple _might_ not make any huge changes before full 
release, I was thinking about doing a 10.12-friendly full release soon (like, 
this weekend) in order to reduce the number of people who do the OS update 
first and wind up with a broken fink tool.

Also, a mea culpa:  I prematurely bumped the VERSION file in the 10.12 
“sierra-alpha-bravo” branch to 0.40.99, so I’m thinking the best solution would 
be to skip 0.40.x and make the next release 0.41 to allow folks who have been 
using the branch to get back to normal releases via a selfupdate.  

Any objections to either of those courses of action?
