I'm in the midst of porting subversion to OS X, creating a Fink package in the process.
Subversion's source tree is a rather complex beast that includes a number of other packages directly within and, hence, has a number of different beasts that use various forms of autoconf. It appears that everything needs to be upgraded to the latest libtool. However, I'm having some trouble doing so. If I mimic what fink does when UpdateLibtool and UpdateConf are enabled, it still spews the dreaded 'version number `' does not match ltmain.sh version number of 1.3.5' (or whatever it is). I read the Fink documentation regarding libtool, but that didn't really help. Does anyone have any suggestions?
