Since it turned out I can't even SSH from here (and can't convince the local admin to open the SSH port for me, since it's not really necessary for my job here :-), I think it might be a good idea to postpone the relase schedule. And anyway I have the feeling that not everybody has noticed we are actually meant to be in stable-freeze already :-)
So my suggestion is: we do the actual stable freeze this Sunday 14th, 12 AM UTC. This way, even I can do some changes when I am back on saturday. Then, I will do the deep freeze on Wednesday 17th, 12 AM UTC, and the release in the night from Thursday 18th to Friday 19th. Yes, I know this is a bit compressed compared to the original plan, bu a) I don't have enough spare time to work on a full Fink release starting the next Friday (i.e I'd need consecutive time, but I'll only have some hours here and some minutes there). And b) We are actually meant to be in freeze already, so please nobody claim to be surprised by an upcoming release by now! Again: You all *MOVE STUFF TO STABLE, NOW*. If you have a package that is newer in unstable than in stable, try to get feedback, and if it works fine, move it. I'll start building the full stable once I am back home with SSH access) so I should be able to catch any missing dependencies by then, in case any should occur.
