Not sure how helpful this is, but you might want to take a look here: http://www.apache.org/dist/httpd/binaries/macosx/httpd-apache_2.0.35-powerpc-apple-darwin5.3.tar.gz Despite the name binary, this did provide the source, which did build and install cleanly on my system. Prepatched as needed. The default version wouldn't build for me (weird sporadic host undeterminable errors, even though earlier in the config process it found this info normally), but this patched one was really easy to apply.
