The default CompileScript on fink runs configure, but you can override this with an explicit CompileScript which does not run configure.
You can certainly make a private finkinfo file to do the compiles for you. Something which is changing nightly, though, won't be suitable for inclusion in fink until it is more stable. (For one thing, we want to know that all users who try to build it are actually working with the same source.)
