Hello there, I know that this is not really a fink-specific problem, but since (I think) a lot of people here are building xfree86 themselves, I just wanted to gather a bit more information about this issue: Recently I tried to upgrade my fink source distribution and stumbled upon strange build failures. I recalled having read about some issues with xfree86 builds on UFS partitions and found the related mails in the list archive.
Now it seems that this problem should have been fixed in Mac OS X 10.1.3, at least there's a technote that mentions this problem <http://developer.apple.com/technotes/tn/tn2043.html> was fixed. Also, the related bug in <http://www.opensource.apple.com/bugs/X/UFS/2805397.html> has been closed some time ago. So my questions are: - Are there some fink developers who are still building xfree86 on UFS partitions? - If so, do you have any problems related to fs corruption? - What can I do about it (apart from building on HFS+)?
