OS X has SMB support, but only for accessing shares, it does not have a method of allowing clients to connect to it. This is what Samba actually does; it provides SMB shares from the Mac and onto the network. So, while you are correct that OS X has SMB support, it's problems extend beyond not having a browser. Something that might help the user who is looking to install Samba is a howto I've written, which is available here: http://www.opensource.apple.com/projects/documentation/howto/html/osxsmb.htm l And otherwise, hopefully that Samba .deb will get moved into stable soon. As well as the net-snmp package! :) Jason Deraleau _______________________________________________________________ Don't miss the 2002 Sprint PCS Application Developer's Conference August 25-28 in Las Vegas -- http://devcon.sprintpcs.com/adp/index.cfm _______________________________________________ Fink-devel mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/fink-devel
