I have a problem that I know others have experienced but I have not been able to find a solution.
The problem is ruinning texshop with the tex and ghostscript option. If I start tex shop using either texshop or the file (that is using the finder), it will not compile and complain that formats have not been loaded, bad path, pool.tex ... However, if I run tex from the terminal window it works fine and if I type open file.tex then texshop launches and it works correctly and compiles the file. I have seen newsgroup listings with people reporting exactly the same problem, but I can't find a response with a solution. I have tried reinstalling texshop (and texlive-tetex) again but that did not help. I do have fink installed but I did not install the tetex version from fink.
