Yes, Apple is providing libncurses starting with darwin 6, as they provided
zlib starting with OS X 10.1. In both cases, we'll need to support Fink
packages which have linked to the old versions, but I think its fine to
rely on Apple's version for most purposes.

P.S. The recent revisions to readline were not actually made by the
maintainer, but rather by those of use who are testing gcc3 and darwin 6.
