Yeah, I think it would be a good thing too.  I started a mod_perl fink a 
while ago, but didn't finish it.  One question was whether it should 
just be a DSO, or a static build including apache.

I also have a perl 5.6.1 fink install that replaces the Apple 5.6.0 
install.  It's been useful for me when I get new machines, but for 
obvious reasons it hasn't been accepted into fink's collections.
