christian

just a short note on gnupg-1.2.0-1. as i'm trying to port some software
to fink from time to time i read through the fink packaging reference
occasionaly i noted that the policy says:

4.3 Things to Avoid

No other directories than the ones mentioned above should exist in /sw.
In particular, the following should not be used: /sw/man, /sw/info,
/sw/doc, /sw/libexec, /sw/lib/locale.

...and a little further above...

/sw/lib

This directory is for architecture-dependent data files and libraries.
Static and shared libraries should be placed directly in /sw/lib unless
there is a good reason not to. This is also the place for executables
that should not be executed directly by the user (which would otherwise
be places in libexec).

now i noticed that gnupg-1.2.0-1 installs the following files in
/sw/libexec

drwxr-xr-x root/unknown 0 2002-10-07 17:40:43 ./sw/libexec/
drwxr-xr-x root/unknown 0 2002-10-07 17:40:43 ./sw/libexec/gnupg/
-rwxr-xr-x root/unknown 38180 2002-10-07 17:40:43
./sw/libexec/gnupg/gpgkeys_ldap
-rwxr-xr-x root/unknown 3558 2002-10-07 17:40:43
./sw/libexec/gnupg/gpgkeys_mailto

is that done by purpose and accepted for a fink package (can i do that
in future as well?) or should these files go in /sw/lib?

thanx

mathias
