Hi,

I was trying update xfree86-rootless after having performed a 'fink
selfupdate-cvs' and ran into a problem with unable to over-write a file in
/usr/X11R6/lib. The message is as the following:

> Unpacking xfree86-rootless-shlibs (from
> .../xfree86-rootless-shlibs_4.2.1.1-1_darwin-powerpc.deb) ...
> dpkg: error processing

When I looked into my /usr/X11R6/lib directory, I did not see
libGL.1.2.dylib. However, libGL.dylib was there. So, I renamed that file and
re-updated xfree86-rootless. It worked. Now, when I looked into
/usr/X11R6/lib directory, I now have the following new files:

    libGL.1.2.dylib
    libGL.1.dylib
    libGL.dylib

I am glad that the update went well. However I have 2 questions:

1. I don't know how I got libGL.dylib (the original file that I changed) in
the first place, but have I messed up anything by replacing it with a new
file that came with xfree86-rootless?

2. Should I replace the new one with the old libGL.dylib file? Can I delete
the old one that I had renamed?

Thanks for educating me.

Chia
