We've already discussed it on the channel quite a bit this weekend, and it doesn't really seem like it's going to be feasible yet without some kind of global registry of offsets, and a way to update them when new packages are created. It's also going to take a lot of hacking of patches until I can update it to be transparently run (like ccache or distcc).

I've done some very non-scientific tests of prebound vs. non-prebound with KDE, and it basically ends up cutting startup time by about 30-40% compared to a non-prebound KDE (although startup times are identical a second time, when everything is already cached in memory), so it would definitely be a nice-to-have.

Coordinating segment sizes and stuff will be non-trivial at this point, though, it seems.
