Hi folks. There are a few residual problems with the update from 10.1 to 10.2 which I hadn't properly anticipated, but which are now showing up as we prepare to release 0.5.0. Although there has been a 0.5.0 tarball on sourceforge for a few days, I now realize that it has a problem related to the update. I've just "hidden" the 0.5.0 distribution release at sourceforge; I believe that this means that the file could still be downloaded, but it won't show up on the "releases" page at SF.
I will write a longer message detailing the problem and suggesting a solution, hopefully later today. The problem has to do with users who want to use "fink selfupdate" but not "fink selfupdate-cvs." If they install the version on SF, they'll never be able to update in the future without going over to the -cvs option. -- Dave ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Get the new Palm Tungsten T handheld.
