* disable MD5 check during bootstrapI think using the /sbin/md5 is the best solution.. Jaguar is our minimum supported OS now anyway.
* use /sbin/md5 to verify checksums
* first try md5sum, then md5, then if both are missing, simply don't check MD5 (maybe output a warning, too?)
