It's not clear to me from reading the manpage that this will also
remove recursively all dependencies on foo (and thus is no different
than dpkg -r foo, which I've also used).  Is this some knowledge you
bring from practical use or some secret document?

Unfortunately, I don't have anything I want to recursively remove
right now, or I would have just tried it.
