David,
I depended on pdflatex to build the PDF documentation for Doxygen
(a documentation utility that I use to document source code; it's
available through fink, but I'm building it myself as I want more
recent versions of it than Fink provides).
Under the old packages, with tetex-macosx installed, it used to
build fine.
After upgrading to the new version, pdflatex doesn't seem to work
properly. This is the error I get back from the make file at the
point it attempts to use pdflatex:

Unfortunately, I don't know very much at all about TeTex, and so
I don't know what's really going on here.
I've tried to find 'fmutil.cnf' in the /sw/... tree, and cannot.
I've found 'pdlatex.fmt' in /sw/share/texmf/web2c/pdflatex.fmt.
Accordingly, I'm confused as to why pdflatex cannot find it's
fmt file...
