Had the impression those locations were recorded in fink.db ...
I thought of using those _ this would just take care of files edited in place (or whose vers/rev didn't change)..
(But this would probably require those locations to respect the Trees line in fink.conf _ cf #679087 _ .
I see several refs to the stable tree there, though I have unstable first.)
The other cases would still have to be covered by the auto reindexing following a selfupdate,
or by manual reindexing.
