I've been trying to get amaya built with opengl (don't ask why they use opengl...). I've found odd differences between freetype2 supplied with fink and XFree86: <http://rdfweb.org/people/damian/amaya_nox.png> This version uses fink's freetype2, plus applesystemfont (which depended on freetype, but I removed it due to build issues). Fonts are missing. <http://rdfweb.org/people/damian/amaya_x.png> Using the XFree86 supplied freetype2. This (you will notice) is missing out characters randomly - but that's a different issue, I think. The odd thing is is finds all the fonts (AFAICT). Well, we all hate font configuration in X :-) But can anyone suggest why these differ? I've found the same issue with Apple's X11 and the fink version.
