I've noticed that there are a number of placeholder packages, I was just thinking of another, for Tcl/Tk which i just got from CVS, and it occurred to me that if we made placeholder packages for every package we'd be crazy. Is there a way (perhaps not for the next few releases) to have a 'generic' package that can be updated to provide for dependancies for the system, or even some built in automatic method? I'd be happy to help and/or test (I'm not sure if i would be much help if we do a built-in method).
