I contributed the root3 package to fink. This package provides a data analysis framework mainly used in high energy physics. This framework relies on a C++ interpreter, but allows for on the fly compiling of C++ code, too. In order to work, it needs a c++ compiler to be installed on the system. This is assured as long as the package is built from source, but it is not necessary the case when installed as binary. Therefore it should depend on the Apple developer tools. Is there a package in fink representing the dev tools which could be used for this purpose?
