i just tried tkdiff, a graphical frontend for diff (in my exp dir experimental/mathmeye). tkdiff depends on tcltk. now the situation is the following:
- if fink's tcltk is installed it runs in an x11 window
- if fink's tcltk is NOT installed but the user has AquaTk, it runs in the osx wish shell that comes with the AquaTk framework
this suggests a "Depends: tcltk | AquaTk " line. of course AquaTk is no valid package name. is it worth, are there plans, would it make sense to have a system-aqua-tcltk package or something like that for that dependency? or should one "force" the user to have fink's tcltk installed when running tkdiff?
i must admit i don't know the tcltk packages good enough to be aware of differences, incompatibilities between the x11 and Aqua version so any thoughts and comments are welcome
thanks
mathias
