Right now, selfupdate-cvs is working rather well, whereas the rsync method is still very new, has bugs (*), and still has to prove that it is reliable in the long run. I would warn against relying exclusively on it.


(*) The bug that prevented removal of old files seems to be fixed for hte users in the latest fink, but a similar bug must exist in the mirroring code: The mirror rjk.hr.eu.finkmirrors.net has old info files that lead to annoying warnings. See the thread "Unable to parse the line" on fink-users.
