So it looks like Fink doesn't list virtual packages that you can install on your box? In this case I had to ask somebody on the dev list, which doesn't seem ideal.
Virtuals enumerate things that a user could put on their system that fink can use -- generally system things provided by apple that are optional (x11, java, gcc2, etc.)
