i did a fink selfupdate and flex 1:2.5.4a-2 had to be updated. it was installed (without error) but it is listed as to be updated "(i)". output:
Information about 1787 packages read in 1 seconds.
The following package will be installed or updated:
flex
dpkg -i /sw/fink/debs/flex_2.5.4a-2_darwin-powerpc.deb
(Reading database ... 74921 files and directories currently installed.)
Preparing to replace flex 2.5.4a-2 (using .../flex_2.5.4a-2_darwin-powerpc.deb) ...
install-info(flex.info): deleting entry `* Flex: (flex) ...'
Unpacking replacement flex ...
Setting up flex (2.5.4a-2) ...
* Flex: (flex). A fast scanner generator.
install-info(/sw/share/info/flex.info): no section specified for new entry, placing at end
is this a bug?
Looks like fink doesn't realize the epoch got updated, it sees the old .deb and thinks it matches the new package, and installs it.
I'll up the revision.
