Also the path to copy the .info & .patch file are not correct in my case. It is not under /sw/fink/dists , but under /sw/fink/10.3/ . Also in my case it is under crypto not main, but that is a lesser element.
/sw/fink/dists should be a symlink to /sw/fink/10.3, as long as you are running Mac OS X 10.3, so it's the same thing really. It would be a symlink to /sw/fink/10.2-gcc3 if you were running 10.2.
