I don't think our list of gnome mirrors has been updated for quite a while. Maybe this is the cause?
One of the causes. The other one is that they like to move things around inside the mirrors. The mirror list is not so easy to update either, because their own mirror list, for example at http://ftp.gnome.org/pub/GNOME/MIRRORS.html has a couple of non-working or not-updated-for-3-years entries, too. I once started on this and soon gave up in frustration.
