There is no way out of this situation short of running fink configure to change mirrors.
I seem to remember a time when hitting Ctrl-C in this situation would bring up the usual "choose another mirror" menu. Not so now. Ctrl-C just quits fink update, and when I run it again, it tries the same mirror, with the same result. There would be a dozen other possible gnome mirrors, but it is trained to try the same one as the last time.
There seems to be no built-in timeout either. Or if there is one, it must be higher than 10 minutes, because this is how long I waited.
Ideas?
