Sounds fine to me.
On a slightly related note, and since it's the first time that we've had
a scheduled go-live time (21:30 US/Eastern), I assume Daniel (cc'ed) is
going to commit and activate all of the PHP files, since he was the last
one to make a modification on the packaging manual.
Hi,
Daniel asked me on irc today what the procedure was for makign changes to
docs. I asked him to commit the changes to the .xml files and post a diff
to -i18n, and do nothing else. Is this not the new procedure for making doc
changes? Why are you now asking that he commit and activate the .php files?
Note that Peter's comment was ideitical to that in: http://fink.sourceforge.net/doc/multilingual/procedure.php
Academic paranoia on my part! I'll do it tonight myself.
Also note that leaving the .php and other "make && make install" files committed but not "live" on the website is not a stable situation. The update.sh script does not provide a way to activate only some changes and not others.
I'm in complete agreement. The multilingual HOWTO will be modified ASAP to reflect this (in my haste to make something available, I'd forgotten about this fact!)
