Some packages seem to be using disallowed characters in versions and revisions. The culprits seem to be mainly underscores in versions (replace with a hyphen), and hyphens in revisions (replace with a dot).
I also caught two packages whose versions start with non-digits. The Debian policy manual (http://www.debian.org/doc/debian-policy/ch-controlfields.html) says versions "should" start with digits, but I don't know whether that "should" is advisory or obligatory. Anybody know?
A list of 10.3 packages with bad version/revision, sorted by maintainer, follows.
