BTW: python and tcltk could be packaged to do this as well.
There is one point with Python, but also with tcl, probably: Where does one put the site-packages afterwards? I mean all the modules from *-py23 packages. In Apple's philosophy, they are put into /Library/Python, which in turn is referred to by a symlink in /System/Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/2.3/lib/python2.3/
There is this amazing symlink
site-packages -> ../../../../../../../../Library/Python/2.3
I guess we then need something similar in /sw/Library.
I have a tcltk-aqua info file for version 8.5a1 that I will soon put into my experimental directory.
I checked this in now. For comparison purposes, once installed, you can run side-by-side
wish /sw/lib/tk8.4/demos/widget
and
wish-aqua /sw/Library/Frameworks/Tk.framework/Resources/Scripts/demos/widget
It is clear which one is prettier. (The aqua version is also newer, 8.5a1, so it has some more functions)
