I use amanda software on Debian to backups servers and my personals computers. Now that I have to take care of Macintosh computers with OS X, I would like to package amanda. As I am running sucesfuly the client part on OS X.

I have read the documentation for developers, but I still don't understand how do I layout the files, to start trying to make the .deb package of amanda.

Specialy I don't know where to put the amanda.info file and how to generate the deb file.

For test purposes, you'd probably put the .info file in:

/sw/fink/dists/local/main/finkinfo

If your .info file is set up correctly, then "fink build amanda" would build the .deb file without installing the package.
