As a general rule you always have to increment the revision number if the .deb file changes. And AFAIK the RuntimeVars are stored in the .deb. So, yes.


As with every rule there might be exceptions. E.g. if you only change some typos in DescDetail you don't need to up the revision.

Also if you fix something that made the package buildable, you don't need to change the revision, if people were unable to build a .deb without the fix.
