The current build of lammpi 7.0.6-10 in unstable is flawed in that it creates a hybrid mix of shared and static libs rather than a complete set of one or the other. I fixed this locally by appending
--enable-shared to the ConfigureParams. This change allowed me to build a shared lib version of gromacs-mpi linked against a fftw-mpi package. I have done a quick test of the resulting lammpi by starting up a 2 cpu localhost node and running two mdrun simulations with mpirun. Everything runs fine so I'll be submitting my fftw-mpi and gromacs-mpi packaging as soon as I clean it up a bit. James could you push a lammpi 7.0.6-11 into unstable with that change of '--enable-shared'? I can't build gromacs-mpi as a shared lib version without that fix. Jack ps By the way, the lamtest-7.0.6 testsuite doesn't build on fink against the lammpi 7.0.6 release. It seems that their configure is barfing on duplicate symbols. I'm not sure if it is a broken configure or not. ------------------------------------------------------- SF.Net email is sponsored by Shop4tech.com-Lowest price on Blank Media 100pk Sonic DVD-R 4x for only $29 -100pk Sonic DVD+R for only $33 Save 50% off Retail on Ink & Toner - Free Shipping and Free Gift. http://www.shop4tech.com/z/Inkjet_Cartridges/9_108_r285 _______________________________________________ Fink-devel mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/fink-devel
