I just tried to install xdrawchem. Unfortunately, I was unable to do so. I am unsure at what point this failed (frankly I do not want to find out where). Somehow, it was "stuck" at a certain point. This resulted in both a very high cpu usage and high disk activity. I had to force quit the terminal. This, however, did not cure the symptoms my mac was experiencing. I managed to restart my computer (it took well over 1 minute to shutdown). All seems back to normal. I do have xcode 1.5 installed. Perhaps this is another problem related to the latest version of xcode.
