I just noticed that perl584 5.8.4-3 now builds DB_File support where it
never did before. This breaks my db-file-pm581 package since they both

to approach it.

This is a common situation with -pmXXX packages (all manpages go in the same place, even if the module itself goes in a XXX-dependent dir).

Should I rename the man file or drop it? I don't want
to drop the package completely since it's a newer version of DB_File
and links with db42 instead of the ancient db lib that Apple provides.

The standard solution in the -pmXXX cases is to move the manpage into a %N-man or %N-doc splitoff package.

Yes, but there wouldn't be much point in this case since you could never install such a package if you have a fink-installed perl. :)
In any case, I've put a new info file in CVS that removes the man file. I was just wondering if there was a better solution.

OK, on further reflection, I've moved the man file into a SplitOff which Conflicts with perl584 (>= 5.8.4-3) even if it is useless.
I'm not having good luck with man files lately. :P
