All the packages for MacOSX10.3 should have X_LOCALE enabled. Apple's X11 has X_LOCALE enabled, but with UTF-8 related bugs, so fix it as:

Then the examples given are for gtk+1, what about gtk+2?
It seems gtk+2 is aware of those problems and requires us no special consideration. But I will have to see if I am right.
I'm very interested in it, since two packages I maintain use this capability and I would like really to learn how test them.
