looks like --enable-ldbm does the trick (haven't tested extensively, but slapd starts with ldbm in the config file).

To be honest, I haven't set up many Fink packages as services, so I'm not too familiar with daemonic, or any other subtleties of OpenLDAP on Fink.


I'd be willing to give it a shot, although I'll defer to someone who has more experience, or is actually using more than just the clients in the openldap package.
