Fink actually doesn't care that much either:) It sees "all files ending in .info anywhere under under finkinfo/ (recursively)". We have .info directly in finkinfo/ (in crypto/), in subdirs (in main/*), and even more-deeply nested (in main/libs/perlmods).

And I've even got a strange "cyrpto" directory that has me puzzled. Note the spelling.


/sw/fink/dists/unstable/cyrpto/

The only things in it are:

% ls -l /sw/fink/dists/unstable/cyrpto/binary-darwin-powerpc
total 8
-rw-r--r--    1 kwh      staff          20 Dec 29 21:08 Packages.gz
-rw-r--r--    1 kwh      staff          90 Dec 29 21:08 Release

I assume this is some relic of a fouled up package update that was later sorted. Is there any reason why I shouldn't delete this directory?
