That sounds reasonable to me--I had a problem today where I force-removed a package and fink wouldn't let me replace it (for some reason "scanpackages" didn't register the .deb in my binary package list, but that's another issue). This is a situation that does come up not infrequently when files get moved around between splitoffs. -- Alexander K.
