Hi everybody. I've been a long time Fink user (aroun 3 years) mostly using
sylpheed to sort my mail. I've decided it's time to give back to the community
so I'm offering to maintain the sylpheed package (been using it for the last
5/6 years half of which were on a linux box).

I've only started to get my head around building packages yesterday evening
(had compiled unorthodoxically version 2.1.4 about 24 hours prior to that) so
I'm afraid I made a bit of a mess on the tracker. I think all traces have now
been erased however...

anyway here is what I'll try to do:

sylpheed (non-ssl) based on the stable branch at the official site and the
previous maintener's work (submitted)
sylpheed (ssl) based on the development branch at the official site and the
previous maintener's work (tba)

what I don't intend to do:

jpilot/pilotlink support. I have no interest in the matter and would need to
install a lot of packages exclusively to honour the dependencies. it's an
optional flag in case you wonder so this would need to be tweaked on other
platforms too so I don't think there will be a big demand for it.

OK that's it. great to be here and participate. any comment/criticism/advise is
welcome.

Best Regards,
Rogue
