Hi Folks:

I'm making fink packages for an electrostatics calculation program called apbs (Adaptive Poisson-Boltzmann Solver). I am making two versions. The default one works fine, but I am also making an mpi version, as this can make the calculations run considerably faster.

I managed to get it to compile against lammpi libraries in fink. When I attempt to start the program, it tells me to first run /sw/bin/ lamboot

lamboot fails with the error message

router (nrecv): not attached to daemon

I've only got localhost in /sw/etc/lammpi/lam-bhost.def

I turned off tcpwrappers and my firewall but still this same error message.

I've read the manpage but remain essentially clueless.

Here is more verbose output:

Many thanks in advance for advice and help.

Bill

PS: I tried upgrading to the very latest lammpi (7.1.1) which is not yet in fink, but it didn't change the behavior.
