Hi Jack:

Thanks. The MD5 is the same so I'll just add the file as a second download. That will make it easer to get rid of it when the time comes.

I made a new fink package for the new version of apbs. pdb2pqr is now a separate install so I also made a fink package for that as a dependency.

Configure with the new apbs fails for lammpi. I think it is an error in the configure script. It recognizes the mpi header and library but then fails. It seems to want mpich. So I haven't yet been able to upgrade apbs-mpi.

Which brings up another point: Should fink have mpich? Darwinports does. I threw together an mpich package, but it conflicts with lammpi's libs, which leads to all sorts of dependency issues. I could try telling it to install libs in a different place to see if I can get peaceful coexistence, but before I invest any time on this, do you (or any of the fink team to which I have cc-ed this)

a) think it is worth doing?

b) know anything about it (I don't know anything about either package)?

Thanks.

Bill

William,
Go ahead and update pymol. Just put the proposed new packaging on fink
tracking first so I can test it locally. You might also want to test
the source code for pymol from the cvs to see if the apbs plugin changes
exist there. If not you should probably remind Warren about that.
