Having noticed an odd c++ regression in gcc 4.2 built with the
gcc4.info file from 10.4 unstable fink, I have been building gcc
trunk for the last couple of weeks on a G5. I noticed if I build
without the gcc4.patch applied that I end up with a slew of new
g++ testsuite regressions. However, if I disable fink in my
.cshrc and build the gcc trunk outside of fink, I don't see
any of these regressions against the cctools in Xcode 2.3 (even
with --disable-multilib removed from the configure line).
The first thing we ought to do is update the odcctools package
to the odcctools from its cvs (as I described in another email)
so we can drop this --disable-multilib hack. I am still trying
to pin down exactly what is installed in fink that throws the
gcc build for a loop. However we definitely seem to have a problem
that doesn't exist in gcc builds outside of fink.
