Each installer is designed to work on only one kind of hardware, and should fail to install on the other. Known bugs: postflight does not behave correctly when installation is done from the command line (will be fixed), and the French documentation needs to be updated (which will also be done). I hope to release these tomorrow, barring major problems, so please send any positive or negative reports promptly.
