Hm, in this case the new pcre package would obsolete the existing pcre++
package, wouldn't it?

I would be glad if I could get rid of pcre++, since I'm not actively
maintaining the package anymore. Also, I haven't ever heard of anybody who
uses it...

If nobody disagrees - how do I go about removing it? Should I submit an
item to the "package requests" tracker?
